About the symposium:
This in-person scientific symposium brings together experts in fetal and neonatal neuroimaging, developmental neuroscience, perinatal biology, neural circuits and plasticity, advanced imaging, autism clinical research, and medical education. The Symposium will examine how early developmental biology and multimodal biomarkers may inform risk stratification and precision approaches, while also addressing the challenges of translating research findings into meaningful clinical care and education.
Learning Objectives:
Describe
how fetal, neonatal, and early developmental brain biology contributes to neurodevelopmental trajectories relevant to autism.
Discuss
the roles of inflammation, neural circuits, plasticity, and multimodal neuroimaging in understanding neurodevelopmental heterogeneity.
Identify
major challenges in autism clinical trials, therapeutic development, outcome selection, and translation of evidence into clinical care.
